Sad Day

Yesterday we made the decision to put Issac to sleep. It totally sucked. We have had him since 96, when Mimi and Misty thought we should get a dog. Mimi wanted this blind hard of hearing dog, but they decided on the little red one that kept jumping really high and was an "escape artist". So Issac was brought into our lives. He was a consistent college roomate, running partner for Mimi, furniture sitter, kid lover, window barker and our first baby.
He has watched all of his Moms get married and have babies. He has played with all of our kids and has always been gentle. Alex especially loved Issac even though he shouldn't. Jack took it pretty well, since out of the three muts in this house Issac was his favorite. It sucks! There is just not a good way to put it. But he was in pain and it was not fair to make him suffer.

A Year Ago..... Yesterday

A year ago yesterday was the day that we found out that our lives were going to change forever. It is hard to believe that a year has already passed and our little boys are here growing and healthy. I can still remember the overwhelming sense of dread that I felt going to the doctor that day, not knowing if we were going to lose the pregnancy. Dr. Storey had told me that if we were miscarrying that there was nothing that could be done blah,,blah.... all the same stuff that they say that really doesn't make you feel any better. We were still a little hopeful that things would turn out all right and the baby would be fine, but we didn't really know.
Dr. Storey was busy that day so Dr. Beveridge performed the U/S with our favorite nurse Leah. I had never met Dr. B before and I am afraid that the profanities that came spilling out of my mouth upon hearing the news may have not left the best impression. Though when you find out that there are 3 heartbeats instead of 1 it can take you by surprise. So I feel ok with dropping the F bomb on him. "Are you F***ing kidding me?" Seriously what would you have said?
And here we sit.... three screaming boys are on the floor in their pj's allright 2 are screaming. Max and Drew are voicing their opinions on my blogging while I try to finish the post. Sam has passed out and the grouchy Jack is watching TV. Life is crazy and we keep adding more to our plate. Colin and I stumbled upon our dream house three weeks ago. A cute farm house 10 miles out of town with 5 acres for boys and dogs. It is a forclosure so we have put in an offer and are waiting to hear from the bank that holds the note. Soooo we are trying to get this house ready to sell and not neglect our children and dogs. Ha! Now we are trying to figure out how to "declutter" a house with baby triplets. I would like to see this show on TLC. Maybe I will call the network........ if anyone is looking for a house in Cheyenne I've got one for sale.

These latest pics were taken 2 weeks ago when Seth, Jessie and Xander came to visit. The little boy that Jack is holding is not the 4th triplet...but Xander.

The Boys

Well, I can hardly believe how long it has taken me to add a few pics of the litter. The whole full time job thing has really gotten in my way as a blogger. I am pretty sure that I will not be making my millions off of this.

The latest news in the BLV household is that we switched Jack and the babies rooms. I am not sure why I wouldn't agree to it when I was prego, but I wouldn't and I was wrong. We should have had them switch rooms from the beginning and only painted once instead of three times! Oooops! So we now have a Space/Star Wars room. Jack's pick not mine. I tried to influence with more space and less character garbage, but he has a decorating mind of his own. So instead of my usual painted theme I bought the cheap star wars wall stickers and made new curtains for the windows and "fort". It looks cute and we are all happy. I will now have to repaint Jack's room and make it the nursery...again. I like to paint so I really don't mind.

Our boys are all getting so big. I can't believe that they will be six months old in a couple of weeks. Everybody is healthy and fat. There are pictures of the peanut (Max) who is now the biggest of them all. He is almost 16 pounds. I took pics of his giant thunder thighs because they are too damn cute.
The boys are not very modest.. a trait Colin insists comes from my side of the family. We can hardly keep Jack dressed and the babies like the freedom that being a nudist allows!

What is cuter than a baby in overalls? 3 babies in overalls!

Back to work and all that jazz...

I haven't written in awhile because my little stint as super stay at home wife/mother is over and I am back to work and spending time with my other children. They are good little first graders. Job share girl did a bang up job whipping them into shape and so these last 3 weeks have been pretty smooth on the work front. The homefront hasn't been too bad either. I miss the boys, but we are lucky to have my mom staying with us to take care of the boy boys while we are at work.
I keep telling myself that I am showing 4 little men what strong independent girls do...they go to work and keep it all together..sort of..with the help of their friends and family. Anyway I have decided that they will all become pharmacist so that their wives/partners will get to stay at home if they want to and raise my grandchildren.
I know lots of other working moms whose kids are normal and well adjusted so I am just keeping my fingers crossed that the therapy bills are small and it will work out. I am sure it will.

The most important news is that the original boy turned 5 on 1-27-10. We had a little party at the Party Pony with a Yoda cake and Darth Vador plates. Everyone had fun. I will upload pics soon!!! Jack is still being Jack. He is still running around the house half clothed shooting at the air, dogs, brothers and us. Needless to say the house isn't quiet. The 3 little boy boys are doing well. Sam is rolling over from belly to back, Max is talking up a storm, and Drew is still our mellow man. They all have little colds, but we have our 4 month appt. tomorrow, so I am not to worried.

Ooops.. The Cutest Pictures EVER!!! For Real ThisTime.

The boys Aunt Scratchy Face (Randi Rene) bought them these adorable suits for Christmas. I knew that they would not be attending many social events this season ...their calendar is jam packed, so the only thing to do was to haul them to Val Rothwell and play baby super models. They are so cute!!! They look like they are ready to take on corporate america at any moment!

We have been adopted by Shannon Ryan in Casper and all of my crew have landed on anesthesia
island! So because Shannon is our new fairy godmother she had her VERY talented sister in law make the boys the cutest onesies ever. So we needed a photo shoot for these too!!!

Can you see Sam's hair? It is sticking up everywhere and he doesn't really have that much hair.
