Christmas Extravaganza!!!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! It was a wonderful first christmas at the little house on the prairie. No snow and a balmy 50 degrees. Colin's family were all here to help with the christmas madness!! Seth, Jessie, and baby Xander came in from Iowa and Randi Renee drove in from DC. It was an exciting early morning at 6:30 a.m. with all 5 little boys making quite a haul from Santa!!Every year the plan is to spend less and keep it small, I do try...I just usually fail. Jack got a gator to farm the property with and the babies got a choo choo wagon-a triplet must have! There were numerous other gifts and the granparents spoiled their boys rotten. Here are our Christmas phot shoot- no labels to keep you guessing! The tallest quad is Xander. I hope everyone had as good a holiday as we did!! Love to all- Jenni

Ummm ....yeah we are still here!!!

OMG!!!n I can't believe that the last posting was in June! Apparently they've shut off the cute background paper due to my absence. I will try to correct that ASAP! I have no pictures which I know is a sin, but things are so crazy around here! The boys just got some new ones done and I will have them on here in a week. I pinky swear!!!
I do however have good reason for not being on here keeping everyone up to date on the family. We bought a new house, moved into it, Jack started Kindergarten, I started school and let us not forget about the Cowboys starting the season..so see ya sometimes Colin! I apologize! Especially to Grandma Brown who did remind me to blog.

Everyone is doing great. Jack loves school and his wonderful teacher. I have a very nice class this year. My mom is back here watching the little boys. Sam is walking in a drunken sailor kind of way. Max is crawling really fast and will stand fall down again. Drew is crawling and getting into the thick of it. Colin is enjoying all of the little projects that I have for him. The house is growing on us and we love being out of town!!!

Life is like finding a Darth Vador Mask in your bed!

That's right wisdom from the great boy mother. I am considering writing a book and this will be my title. Mimi and Emma are up for a visit. Jack and Emma are creating their own kind of fun, namely mud pits in the backyard. Naked mud pits. I know many of you find it shocking that Mimi and my offspring are not the modest individuals that their mothers are. I am pretty sure that Karma is having a good laugh right now. Too bad we are laughing with her. We think naked mud pit is a funny game.
Colin and I took a short house hunting journey and we returned to 3 spanking clean babies and Emma and Jack in the tub looking sort of like mud wrestlers. Apparently while Mimi was bathing the little boys the two big kids were rolling in the mud like dogs! Enjoy! I am sure that there will be more adventures this week.

The Happenings Of The Family

Well it has been another busy month in the BLV household. Jack and I are finishing up with school and the other people are dealing with us...or atleast me. May is such a crazy month. It is as busy as August for a teacher. Jack wrapped up his last day of preschool last week. He really like pre school and all of the friends he made. His teachers thought that he would be ready to start school in the fall. Which is a good thing. He does have a little problem with socializing. He would rather talk with his friends than work or listen to a story. I personally am SHOCKED! I do not know where he got this kind of problem from.....

In other news the babies are all sitting up on their own. It really is a wonderful stage. They sort of entertain themselves and they CAN'T MOVE!!!! It is fantastic!!! I dread when they are moving in three different directions. All of them are holding their bottles so feeding is lots easier. Everybody is eating really well. I took a picture of their weekly food consumption. I want to remember how much the little piggies are eating. It breaks down to about...

35-49 jars of babyfood
1 big box rice cereal
2 big cans of formula

Needless to say I have decided to try and create my own babyfood. I have only done like two things. They liked it for the most part. How can you screw up squash? Just call me Mother Earth.

In house news we were lucky enough to sell our house 2 days before it was put on the market. Family friends are buying it and we couldn't be more happy. I would tell names, but I am not sure how they feel about being on my highly traveled site. Anyway we are still waiting on news of the Chuckwagon house. I told Colin that I will not freak out until June 15. In the mean time I am currently searching for the back up plan house. Which sucks, because I have already mentally moved into Chuckwagon. I had even come to terms with sending Jack to district 2. The housing market here is super ridiculous!!! Maybe I am cheap, but the price of houses is a joke. The Chuckwagon house definantely needs a little love and for the price I am willing to work on it, but I absolutely refuse to buy a $300K fixer upper! Colin also won't let me pay that much for a house, apparently we have 4 kids to put through college one day. So I have been on the hunt and can hardly wait for school to get out so that the realator and I can become dear friends!
None of the pics have labels this month because they posted in a different format. Hopefully you can tell the boys a part. Max is the biggest, Drew usually has a scratch on his face with fluffy hair and Sam's hair is longer on top!!!

Sad Day

Yesterday we made the decision to put Issac to sleep. It totally sucked. We have had him since 96, when Mimi and Misty thought we should get a dog. Mimi wanted this blind hard of hearing dog, but they decided on the little red one that kept jumping really high and was an "escape artist". So Issac was brought into our lives. He was a consistent college roomate, running partner for Mimi, furniture sitter, kid lover, window barker and our first baby.
He has watched all of his Moms get married and have babies. He has played with all of our kids and has always been gentle. Alex especially loved Issac even though he shouldn't. Jack took it pretty well, since out of the three muts in this house Issac was his favorite. It sucks! There is just not a good way to put it. But he was in pain and it was not fair to make him suffer.
